Course Description:
The focus of the World History course will be the study of the historical development of people, places, and patterns of life from ancient times until today. The course will also cover different governments, religions, cultures, people, revolutions, and wars that have shaped human history. Students will use historical and geographical analysis skills to explore the history of the world.

WHS Grading:
We will follow the grading guidelines found inside the School Handbook.
Test Grades 50% - 4 Major Grades each 9 weeks
Daily Grades 50% - 9 Daily Grades
Failing Assessment:
We will follow the retake guidelines found inside the School Handbook. Time must be approved by the teacher.
Student Absent Work:
Absent/Extra work will be found in the classroom work bins. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure they get their missing work at the next available time.
Homework Policies:
The homework must be completed and turned in by the designated date, or it will be a lunch detention.
Tutorial Policies:
The student and I can discuss the best options for tutorials. Possible times could be before/after school or during activity period.
Grading Consequences:
Any academic dishonesty will result in the need to retake assignments outside of class time. Cheating will result in time in ISS.
